Leadership group sees bright future ahead

Structus Announces New Executive Leadership Team

June 29, 2010 (Bend, OR) – Structus Building Technologies is pleased to announce the restructuring of its executive level leadership group. The new structure positions the company to achieve its aggressive growth goals in the coming years.

Founder/Owner Tim Smythe has moved from his role as CEO to that of Chairman of Structus. Smythe will remain closely involved in the research, design and creation of new products and technologies. Bill Scannell has been promoted to CEO, after serving as President since 2005.

“We have a tremendous opportunity here to make a great company even better,” asserted Smythe. “From the beginning, Bill has played a pivotal role in guiding the expansion and development of this company, and I am thrilled he has agreed to step up as CEO.” Scannell joined Structus in 1997 as a sales representative. He was promoted to National Sales Manager in 2000 and then assumed his role as President in 2005.

As one of his first actions as CEO, Scannell has assembled a new leadership team that will help drive Structus towards its growth objectives. The cross-functional team represents each of the critical areas of the company. Leadership Team members include Tracey Wright (promoted to Director of Sales), Jennifer Houston (promoted to Director of Marketing), JJ Yacovella (Human Resources Director), Dave Slavensky (Chief Operating Officer), Mark Cahill (Chief Financial Officer), and Doug Wambaugh (Vice President of Engineering).

“Each of these individuals brings unique talents to the team,” said Scannell. “And they are committed to making Structus stronger than it has ever been.”
